I've had this game for about 3 months now and love it. I was a huge COD fan but their futuristic war games are incredibly annoying, so I took a chance on Battlefield 1 and it has been a nice change as it's a more realistic shooting game without retards bouncing off walls, jetpacking, spraying and praying, etc. There are a few annoying things coming from the COD series like: You cant modify your classes outside of a game, the load times are horrendous, the battlepacks are insanely retarded as they are only skins for guns which are worthless, etc. Besides these few annoyances, this game is great. I will definitely be sticking to the Battlefield series unless the COD series gets their head out of the sand.

Hudson and Weaver are revealed to be Mason's interrogators. Dragovich has communist sleeper cells placed all over the United States which, when ordered by the numbers broadcast, will release the Nova 6 gas. As a result, the U.S. is preparing a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the Soviet Union, which would result in the inevitable Mutual Assured Destruction of World War III. Hudson needed Steiner to abort the gas launch, but after his death, only Mason has any knowledge of the numbers station. Hudson reveals that Dragovich brainwashed Mason to understand the numbers broadcasts and assassinate Kennedy, effectively making him a Soviet sleeper agent. The real Reznov never escaped, but died during the Vorkuta breakout attempt, and the Soviet defector in Hue was actually killed before Mason reached him. Mason’s visions of Reznov are a result of a dissociative disorder caused by the traumatic brainwashing program. Prior to the Vorkuta uprising, Reznov reprogrammed Mason to assassinate Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner instead. Mason finally remembers the location of the broadcast station: a Russian cargo ship called Rusalka off the coast of Cuba. An assault on the Rusalka begins, with Mason and Hudson infiltrating the underwater submarine base protecting the ship. Hudson calls in the United States Navy to destroy the Rusalka. Mason and Hudson finally confront Dragovich in the lower levels of the facility, and Mason strangles and drowns him to death before escaping with Hudson. They regroup with Weaver, who declares victory.
Black Ops retains the experience points and unlockable reward system that has been kept since Call of Duty 4. The game's multiplayer focuses on socialization and customization.[7] "Create-a-Class 2.0" allows enhanced personalization with appearance items as well as upgradable perks;[19] weapons are extensively customizable with writing, emblems, attachments and camouflage painting. Even reticles can be modified. There are more than one style for an attachment, which allows for a lot more personalized weaponry; for example, the player can choose between a red dot sight or a reflex sight, both of which share many of the same traits, although the red dot fills up less of the screen (something desired by many players). Character models depend on the first tier perk instead of the weapon's type. Furthermore, face paints can be unlocked.[21] New custom killstreak rewards include explosive R/C cars, guided missiles and controllable attack helicopters.[22]

Seven maps, each with multiple objectives that take advantage of both Call of Duty's fast-paced, twitch shooter mechanics and team-based, objective mechanics, makes for a lot of replay value. It's one of the best things that ever happened to this franchise, as far as I'm concerned, and I've played countless hours in this mode over the past year or so.
On January 21, 1968, Mason's team is sent to Vietnam. After defending Khe Sanh, they recover a dossier on Dragovich from a Russian defector in Hue City during the Tet Offensive. The defector turns out to be none other than Reznov, who joins them as they penetrate Laos to recover a Nova 6 shipment from a downed Soviet plane. They are captured by Viet Cong and Spetznaz infiltrators at the crash site. Bowman is executed, but Woods and Mason hijack an Mi-24 Hind in the confusion and escape, moving on to rescue Reznov from Kravchenko's base. They confront Kravchenko and Woods stabs him, but Kravchenko pulls the pins off of four grenades strapped to himself, forcing Woods to sacrifice himself by pushing both himself and Kravchenko out of a window. In a huge explosion, Mason presumes the two dead.

Warfare is no longer limited to the trenches. Fights take place underwater, in outer space and even on jagged rock faces. Diverse missions and battlefields have you rappelling down buildings, floating in zero gravity and taking aim inside a helicopter. The diversity of gameplay keeps the action epic and redefines what it means to be a soldier in the field.

Each mission features a series of objectives which are marked on the heads-up display's compass; the player must complete all objectives to advance to the next mission. As the focus of the game is on simulation of the actual battlefield, the gameplay differed from many single-player shooters of the time. The player moves in conjunction with allied soldiers rather than alone; allied soldiers will assist the player in defeating enemy soldiers and advancing; however, the player is given charge of completing certain objectives. The game places heavy emphasis on usage of cover, suppressive fire, and grenades. AI-controlled soldiers will take cover behind walls, barricades, and other obstacles when available.
Secondarily, those complaining about it taking a long time for weapons to kill somebody obviously don't know what they are doing. I feel they are complaining primarily because of the MP trench gun which is the default gun on the assault class. This gun is intended to be used by getting very close to somebody and spraying them with it. It is not an accurate weapon nor was it back in WW1. Use corners and cover in order to move close on opponents and you shouldn't have an issue with the guns if you use them to their strengths. Either that or they are trying to take out enemies at a distance using iron sights and are too use to their high tech red dot sights. There are optical gun classes that allow having a more conventional sight picture if that's your style.
Lore, while there is no campaign there is lore of the black ops series. With Specialist HQ a mode where you can test at all the new specialist and even see their own video. At first glance it looks Tom Clancy's Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4. But there is a hidden story that ties to the events of Black Ops 1&2. Call of Duty has a lot of Lore fans and this is a welcome addition that ties in the Black Ops universe with the Multiplayer and Blackout. Better than Blacks Ops 3 train go boom campaign.

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the story. The playable characters are special forces operatives conducting black operations behind enemy lines. In this way, the player's characters have their own traits such as voices and shadows.[7] Each mission features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads-up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives as it has been in the earlier versions. The player is accompanied by friendly troops throughout the game. Although primarily a first-person shooter, certain levels feature sequences where the player pilots a Hind helicopter and guides friendly troops from a SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft.[18][19][20] The campaign features several scripted cinematic moments. One of them is a bullet time effect during the "Victor Charlie" level, activated when the player fires toward the last enemy of a Viet Cong squad.[citation needed]
No Campaign, some brave soul actually did it and decided that hey we don’t need a campaign. While it must be disappointing for all 3 people who play the campaign. I must applaud them as Black Ops 3 had the worse campaign of any Call of Duty game ever. In my circle of friends and associates I was the only one who ended up beating it. Not Good. So doing what needs to be done and axing the campaign is a positive in my book as it gets them to focus on.
Treyarch is promising that special attention will be shown the Black Ops 4 PC version. For starters, Black Ops 4 PC will launch on Battle.net exclusively, which will include all of Battle.net’s social features and anti-cheat measures. Among the many features promised for the PC build are: scalability options, uncapped frame rate (but not for Blackout at launch), dedicated servers, and support for 4K, HDR, and ultra widescreen monitors.
After spending quite a while with the game, I’m blown away that there’s still so much to discover. With dozens of collectibles to find in the single player campaign, a seemingly-unlimited number of weekly challenges, and the Tides of War looming large on the horizon, Battlefield V is the best this series has ever been, and easily the best FPS of the season.

Next, the class balance. This ones gonna be controversial so bear with me. In its current state much of the class balance in Battlefield V is broken. I know some of it is going to be fixed but there are some issues that will remain. We all know that the medic class is shit in its current state. It manages to fall short in pretty much every category that isn’t hip fire. While this class is getting a buff I still feel that a rifle of some sort, such as the G43 or at least the M1 carbine would greatly benefit the class. My biggest concern for this game’s class balance is the assault class which, in its current state, can dominate both close range, medium range, and long range engagements. The TTK for assault weapons seem just a tad quick, but that could very well just be me.
In July 2015, CFO of EA Blake Jorgensen announced a new Battlefield title would be released in 2016.[44][45][46] This was followed up by Dan Vaderlind, EA DICE Development Director, announcing that since Star Wars Battlefront has been released, he will now be focused on the upcoming Battlefield title.[47] On May 6, 2016, Battlefield 1 was officially announced, with an official reveal trailer on YouTube, and was released on October 21, 2016.[48][49]
The mode has squads of four trying to hunt down each other and complete objectives to be the last standing on a map shrinking as it’s consumed by a ring of fire (not going to ask what Nazi superweapon has supposedly created that). But the mode is limited to 64 players when Blackout has now been pushed to 88 and Fortnite is always at 100. And 64 players is not exactly a new prospect for the Battlefield series, which has been doing the big team thing for a while now. There also does not appear to be a solos or duos option for Firestorm, at least at launch, which is a significant departure from other BRs where that’s standard. This is in contrast to Call of Duty where Blackout plays wildly different from traditional multiplayer, in playercount, map size, vehicle use, everything.

Edit: Apparently people misinterpret the way I mentioned the patches being slow. I admit that I should've worded it a bit clearer to avoid this confusion but I'll try to make sense of it now. I'm fine with content and balance changes coming biweekly or even monthly, it's the fact that they group all the fixes into these patches as well that is a terrible decision in my opinion. A much better system would be to split fixes from these larger patches entirely, and make these fixes come at a greater pace. The amount of bugs and blatant oversights that could be fixed in a short amount of time are numerous in this game and it would do the game an immense amount of good to fix these issues sooner (I'm talking about stuff like barely getting any currency at 50 or changing assignments whilst not having to quit etc.).
You can expect a new lineup of characters and a fresh storyline for Black Ops 4 zombies, too. New characters Scarlett, Shaw, Diego and Bruno will adventure across Ancient Rome in the IX map, not to mention the RMS Titanic in the Voyage of Despair map. The third map, Blood of the Dead is a remaster of the very popular Black Ops 2 map set on Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary and will feature the Primis crew. We’ve played zombies for ourselves, so you can check out ten minutes of Voyage of Despair gameplay below.
