The game was set in ancient Rome, and allowed players to take control of famous historical figure Julius Caesar, along with "low grunts", and officers of the Tenth Legion. It was eventually canceled, as Activision had uncertainties about branding it as a Call of Duty title.[47]

Seven maps, each with multiple objectives that take advantage of both Call of Duty's fast-paced, twitch shooter mechanics and team-based, objective mechanics, makes for a lot of replay value. It's one of the best things that ever happened to this franchise, as far as I'm concerned, and I've played countless hours in this mode over the past year or so.

Battlefield 1 had better graphics and sound design. I know I know, I sound crazy, but having compared the two quite a bit I have concluded that graphically, Battlefield 1 is better. As for the sound design I play both games with a pretty nice headset and have all of the audio settings tuned for it. Believe me when I say Battlefield 1 sounds better in terms of weapon sounds, ambience, etc.

I can safely say the only thing IMO that havent continue to down grade each release is the incredible audio(seriously some of the best in the industry), the graphics, the shooting mechanics and the servers actually having a decent tick rate for the player size I think we can all remember the horrible tick rate in BF4. I'll be dead honest here BF5 more than ever makes battlefield feel like nothing more than another call of duty game with its intense focus on infantry combat and the speed of the game with people running around at mach 10. The only difference is there are vehicles and the maps are a bit bigger. I don't ever get the feeling of only in battlefield anymore.
The sixth mission occurs much later, on January 17, 1945, with Voronin now a full Sergeant, serving with the 150th Rifle Division of the 3rd Shock Army. The unit secures a makeshift German tank repair facility in Warsaw in the midst of the Vistula–Oder Offensive. The seventh mission takes place shortly after, with the unit moving to regroup with the 4th Guards Tank Army. Due to shortages in experienced soldiers, the eighth mission, on January 26, requires Voronin to command a T-34-85 tank for the 2nd Guards Tank Army. In a full scale offense, the Soviets capture a town near the Oder River. The ninth mission is also fought in the tank, with Voronin eliminating all surviving German units in the town.
Blackout will also have a huge selection of iconic weapons for you to play with. A zombie cooperation mode, titled "Zombies", is included in the game. Originally featured in World at War, it was revamped to be included in Black Ops.[33] It is a four-player online and two-player split screen co-op mode (which can also be unlocked online). Based on the original game, in the map "Five", players take the roles of John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro as they fight zombies at The Pentagon.[34][35] Another map, called "Kino der Toten" ("Cinema of the Dead" in German), features the characters from World at War – Edward Richtofen the German, Tank Dempsey the American, Takeo Masaki the Japanese, and Nikolai Belinski the Russian. Limited editions of the game offer graphically-enhanced versions of the four zombies maps from World at War, featuring the newer weapons from the rest of the game.[36] There is an unlockable top-down, two-stick arcade-shooter version of Zombies known as Dead Ops Arcade.[37]

Call of Duty: Black Ops features Vietnam War era music including "Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones[65] (played during a gameplay sequence, the credits, and as an easter egg in the multiplayer map Nuketown) and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son".[66] Eminem's "Won't Back Down" (featuring Pink) is used for the credits as well, and additionally appears as an Easter Egg in the Zombie map "Five". In the Call of the Dead zombie map the song "Not Ready to Die" by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold is featured as an easter egg.[67] The original music was composed by Sean Murray, who also composed Call of Duty: World at War while Kevin Sherwood composed music for the Zombies mode. The soundtrack was released on November 9. The use of The Rolling Stones' music in the game has seen a significant increase in the band's music sales since launch. "Gimme Shelter" sold 2,000 copies in the week before the launch trailer was revealed, 5,000 the week after, and 11,000 the week after the game's release. "Sympathy for the Devil" experienced a similar boost as gamers discovered the band's music.[citation needed]

This is probably my favorite Call of Duty since Ghosts. I was never a huge fan of the futuristic flying jet packs and wall running of Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare. WWII was refreshing in that regard, however, I really started to get burned out on WWII due to the really small maps, horrible rewards system and hokey costumes that you know never existed in the 1940s. Black Ops 4 is really refreshing. It's very fast paced and fluid. Even though there are no jet packs and wall running, nothing ever gets in your way. Getting around obstacles while shooting at the same time makes the game play super smooth. I really like the weapons (so far) and the graphics are really good. The user interface is a little confusing. I think video game companies in general could all benefit from having an actual UI designer on staff. As for the new Blackout game mode, maybe it's because I have never played any of those last man standing games like Fortnite, but I just don't do very well. It's like unless you get a decent gun within 15 seconds of landing on the ground, you're screwed. Also, the graphics in Blackout are terrible in comparison to normal multiplayer. I get it though, for a map that size they had to make compromises. Overall, I give Black Ops 4 a 9 out of 10.
