Onslaught offers a colossal amount of new content and carnage, including: four unique multiplayer maps, an all-new dual purpose assault rifle and sniper rifle. This is the first installment in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative. Depending on tactical needs, players can choose arsenal options with the Maverick, a deadly new, dual-purpose Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle.

Maxis continues his work on other experiments, attempting to use his daughter's dog, Fluffy, as a test subject for his own teleportation device. However, the experiment fails, and Fluffy is transformed into an undead Hellhound. Richtofen takes the opportunity and traps Maxis and his daughter Samantha inside the teleporter with Fluffy, believing that they would die. Richtofen escapes with his three captured soldiers, and arrives at the Rising Sun research facility in Japan, where Element 115 was first discovered. After gathering a sample of 115 at the site, and recovering a weapon known as the Wunderwaffe DG-2, they return to the Der Riese factory in Germany. In an attempt to escape the zombie horde, the group accidentally overloads a teleporter with the DG-2, sending them forward in time. They arrive at an abandoned Nazi theater in the 1960s, where Richtofen discovers several recordings left behind by Dr. Maxis. Samantha, having survived and managing to control the zombies, continues raising the undead in order to hunt down Richtofen.

FOG: Drops you into a dark and eerie campsite, alongside a fog-shrouded lake, where you fight through twisting caves and seemingly abandoned structures. BAY VIEW, USA: Set on a coastal Californian boardwalk, this run-and-gun map includes a quaint trolley bus and moving platform. CONTAINMENT, MEXICO: This battle along a dry riverbed in a war-torn Mexican village features a bridge with a truck containing leaking, radioactive material. IGNITION, FLORIDA, USA: Drops players into an aging space launch facility with rockets crash-landing into the area of operations near debris fields and exposed fuselages. 
Weapon Progression. It's small and this is a detractor for me. Where games like BF3 and BF4 had a wide variety of grips, sights, barrels, attachments etc that affected the overall potency of a weapon, in BFV, you can change the scope on a gun then the rest is in the progression system which isn't mix and match. Some follow very linear build patterns where if you choose one progression for a gun, you have to take the next one in the chain. Granted, this helps make it so certain weapon progression combinations don't make you God, but it detracts from what I really liked about BF3 and BF4 weapon customizations. Can I live with this system? Yeah. Do I want a little more variety? Absolutely.
Vehicles. I haven't personally flown or driven anything yet other than the little tank-bike to get from point to point, but tanks feel remarkably less threatening than BF1. In a way, I find this to be a good thing as a tank sitting on a point with 3-4 players with anti-tank weapons can make short work of it, but perhaps they could get a little armor boost (imho). Airplanes are airplanes. If they drop bombs on you, you're SOL. I can't attest to air combat, but when I hear planes in the air, I haven't had too much experience getting erased by them when we have friendly planes in the sky.
This is what people really want to know about so here's my take... It feels like how BF1 should have been at launch if it were a WW2 game. That's not to say there aren't kinks, but the point is DICE seems to have taken a lot from what they've learned from BF1 and applied it immediately at launch to BFV. Here's some things that stuck out to me (in no good or bad order)
Finish the fight in DLC Pack 4 for Call of Duty: WWII–Shadow War. Make a final strike to the enemy's evil ambitions in three new Multiplayer maps: Excavation, Airship, and Chancellery. Uncover the secrets of a classified Axis weapons facility in a new objective-based War Mode mission: Operation Arcane. Plus, experience the final chapter in the Nazi Zombies saga: Frozen Dawn.
