Some time in 1963, the United States government manages to grab hold of several of Group 935's inventions, keeping them hidden in the Pentagon. Due to the presence of the undead-raising Element 115, zombies breach the Pentagon. John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara, and Fidel Castro are trapped within the Pentagon, forced to fight their way out. Meanwhile, Richtofen's crew arrive at a Soviet Cosmodrome site, where Richtofen intends to travel to Group 935's moon base, Griffin Station. The crew is contacted by Gersh, a member of the Ascension Group who requests to be freed from Samantha's grip. After freeing Gersh, the four of them are teleported further in time, and arrive at a Siberian lighthouse sometime in 2011, once used by Richtofen as a secret lab. However, they are trapped within a locked room, and forced to rely on four movie actors: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Danny Trejo, Robert Englund, and Michael Rooker, who are filming a zombie movie on-site along with director George A. Romero, who had been infected as well. Richtofen requests the four celebrities to find a golden rod, which is a Vril generator device, which he then uses to fix the teleporter. He transports himself and the other three soldiers back to Shangri-La, leaving the celebrities behind to continue fighting Romero and the horde. At Shangri-La, the group discovers two explorers, Gary and Brock, who died trapped within a time loop while trying to discover the secrets of the mythical Agartha realm. The group saves the explorers' lives by traveling back and forth in time, altering the environments of the temple in the process. They discover an altar within the temple with Richtofen's name written on it, as well as a piece of a meteorite containing Element 115. However, the explorers remain stuck in the never-ending loop.

Perhaps the most embarrassing is that the game is apparently freezing for players with 3D TVs, despite both the game and the PS3 being touted as the best 3D products available.
This just seems like a particular “at risk” year for EA and Battlefield, given its steep competition. Granted that kind of happens every fall, but alternating Battlefield and Battlefront releases, this seems like it maybe should have been time for the latter just to stand out a little bit more, but that’s not how production schedules work. EA will always have FIFA and Madden and such to lean on, but I do think its shooter series are becoming less relevant as time goes on. Perhaps a game like Anthem will change that, but I don’t think Battlefield V will.
On April 17, 1961, Mason, Woods, and Bowman take part in Operation 40 to assassinate Fidel Castro in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Mason apparently succeeds and stays behind to protect the extraction plane from an oncoming blockade, before being captured by the real Castro, having shot a double. Handed over to Major General Nikita Dragovich to be held captive at Vorkuta Gulag, Mason befriends inmate and former Red Army soldier Viktor Reznov. Reznov recounts to Mason the identities of their enemies: Dragovich, his right-hand man Lev Kravchenko, and ex-Nazi scientist Friedrich Steiner, who defected to the Soviet Union. In October 29, 1945, Reznov and Dimitri Petrenko were sent to extract Steiner from a Nazi base in the Arctic. However, they were betrayed by Dragovich, who tested Steiner's nerve gas known as "Nova 6" on Petrenko, killing him. Reznov was spared the same fate when British Commandos, also interested in acquiring Nova 6, attacked the Soviets. Reznov destroyed the Nova 6 and escaped, only to be captured by the Soviets and sent to Vorkuta. The Soviets later recreated Nova 6 with the help of a British scientist, Daniel Clarke.

They remarked, "Call of Duty won this category without a shot fired—there simply was no debate." It was also nominated for "Best Game" at the 2004 Game Developers Choice Awards. While it did not receive that award, it did win Infinity Ward the "Rookie Studio of the Year". Chuck Russom was also presented with the "Excellence in Audio" award for his work on the game.
I got this game originally when it came out, but the hardened edition which I sold, but I got this game again. Let's all come to terms with the truth. Call of Duty gets worse every year, it's the same garbage forced down our throats, and I refuse to ever buy one again. HOWEVER, the thing about Black Ops that sets it aside from Modern Crapfare series, is the addition of the Zombies mode. Zombies itself is worth buying this game for. If you have friends to play with, it never gets boring.

The first mission in the Soviet campaign occurs during the Battle of Stalingrad on September 18, 1942. Corporal Alexei Ivanovich Voronin, a young volunteer, and his fellow recruits are sent across the Volga River, many of whom are subsequently killed when the Luftwaffe launch an attack. Once across, Voronin is given a small amount of bullets, which he gives to a fellow soldier so he can cover an officer calling in an artillery strike that forces the Germans back. The second mission begins in Red Square with Soviet officers killing soldiers who retreat (see Joseph Stalin's Order No. 227—"Not one step back!"). Voronin gets his hands on a rifle and kills several German officers, disrupting the German offense long enough for Soviet artillery to destroy their tanks. In the next mission, Voronin links up with his surviving allies in a train station and must guide them to Major Zubov of the 13th Guards Rifle Division. For his actions, Voronin is promoted to Junior Sergeant. The fourth mission, on November 9, has Voronin moving through the sewers to help retake an apartment building in German hands. The following fifth mission has Voronin's unit, led by Sergeant Pavlov, assaulting the building (see Pavlov's House). Voronin acts as a counter-sniper while another soldier draws the fire of the snipers in the building; the unit then clears the building of Germans and defends it from a German counterattack.
Players can play alone or with friends against AI opponents in "Combat Training" with a separate progression system. Online split-screen is re-introduced on Xbox 360 and PS3. The guest account can rank up but is reset after each sign out. Only on Xbox 360, a second Gold Xbox Live account can be used to keep the second player's progression. Aside from the Combat Training mode, Xbox users can also have up to four players in split-screen mode play against AI opponents even without having an Xbox Live account. This is done by configuring the Local Split Screen settings and setting the number of enemies to a value greater than zero.
Time To Kill. Goodness, it's quick. My firefights against most players is roughly 0.5-1.0 seconds. This is why the ammunition limit doesn't feel like such a crutch. You can kill almost anyone in 5-7 bullets (less if you're aiming at the head). Sure, it's a little more realism, but it makes the ammunition limit almost silly. Furthermore, if you don't know where your attacker is coming from, you're dead before you can actualize the target. In some cases, this is warranted, but in others, you're left thinking, "WHAT? WHERE? HOW?!" and dead before the words reach your lips. As a support, plopping my MG32 or Bren on a bipod already makes things easy. The good thing is DICE is already working on a TTK fix, so deletions will be less common.
Suffice to say, Call of Duty: WWII feels like the better value to me. It came with fewer MP maps, but it had three War Mode Operations and a single-player campaign. And although the game had some rocky beginnings, it was vastly improved by the time Black Ops 4 released. It's almost a shame that a game as solid as WWII only had one real year of support. I would love to see more MP maps and Operations released into 2019.

Battlefield 1 had better graphics and sound design. I know I know, I sound crazy, but having compared the two quite a bit I have concluded that graphically, Battlefield 1 is better. As for the sound design I play both games with a pretty nice headset and have all of the audio settings tuned for it. Believe me when I say Battlefield 1 sounds better in terms of weapon sounds, ambience, etc.
Seven maps, each with multiple objectives that take advantage of both Call of Duty's fast-paced, twitch shooter mechanics and team-based, objective mechanics, makes for a lot of replay value. It's one of the best things that ever happened to this franchise, as far as I'm concerned, and I've played countless hours in this mode over the past year or so.
Sprinting While Crouched. I friggin' love this feature. You can now keep your head low and your noise making just above crouch walking and sprint. This is super cool. The animation team also did a good work (at least for Support) on the position of your gun to let you know what stance you're in. It helps you cover ground while keeping a low profile and, in some scenarios, this massively gives you an edge on sneaking around points. You can only sprint in forward movements (which makes sense) at which point crouching backwards makes you pretty slow (which can be a danger if you get spotted). Well done on this one, DICE!
Call of Duty: Strike Team is a first and third-person shooter game developed by The Blast Furnace, and published by Activision for iOS. The game is set in 2020 with players tasked with leading a U.S. Joint Special Operations Team after the country "finds themselves in a war with an unknown enemy". The game was released on September 5, 2013.
Excellent deal & condition. One of the best COD games! A truly amazing game! Zombies is on another level of awesomeness!! If you want to go back to the roots from Black Ops 2 or 3 then you want Black Ops 1. I played this game with my son many times and you wouldn't believe how much you can bond with your kid just by playing video games with them. Let them teach you. My son also met my now fiance on Black Ops 2!!! Results might not be typical but it never hurts to just HAVE FUN either!!!!
Call of Duty: Black Ops takes place between 1961 and 1968 during the Cold War, 20 years after the events of World at War. It portrays a secret history of CIA clandestine black operations carried out behind enemy lines. Missions take place in various locations around the globe such as the Ural Mountains, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Hong Kong, Laos, South Vietnam, the Arctic circle and Siberia. The single-player campaign revolves around an experimental chemical weapon codenamed "Nova-6". This weapon is bound to be used by sleeper agents in the United States, who are infused with sequences of numbers, once broadcasts are transmitted from an unknown numbers station.
Battlefield games have always accentuated teamwork, but the fifth numbered entry takes things further with a new attrition system that demands you stick closer than ever to squad mates for ammo and health. A well-honed unit can rack up enough teamwork points to unleash game-changing weaponry like the V1 rocket via the new Squad Reinforcements system.
The game runs on an enhanced World at War engine (which itself was improved from Call of Duty 4's) at 60 frames per second across all platforms, excluding the Wii. It features a streaming texture technology (also seen in Modern Warfare 2), making bigger levels possible such as "Payback" where the player controls a helicopter. Lighting effects have been improved as well. Call of Duty: Black Ops supports 3-D imaging rendered by the engine itself. This feature is available on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 versions.
The Call of Duty games are published and owned by Activision. Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games develop several of the titles with the release of the studios' games alternating with each other. Some games have been developed by Gray Matter Interactive, Nokia, Exakt Entertainment, Spark Unlimited, Amaze Entertainment, n-Space, Aspyr, Rebellion Developments, Ideaworks Game Studio, and nStigate Games. The games use a variety of engines, including the id Tech 3, the Treyarch NGL, and the IW engine.
I can safely say the only thing IMO that havent continue to down grade each release is the incredible audio(seriously some of the best in the industry), the graphics, the shooting mechanics and the servers actually having a decent tick rate for the player size I think we can all remember the horrible tick rate in BF4. I'll be dead honest here BF5 more than ever makes battlefield feel like nothing more than another call of duty game with its intense focus on infantry combat and the speed of the game with people running around at mach 10. The only difference is there are vehicles and the maps are a bit bigger. I don't ever get the feeling of only in battlefield anymore.
The first issue is the setting, which weirdly feels a bit dated because of a trend Battlefield itself started. Two years ago, it was Call of Duty that seemed like it had made the misstep, continuing to plug away at the “future war”concept while Battlefield 1 felt like a fresh return to a bygone era, and doing so in WWI instead of the more common choice, WWII.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Specialists return too, with eight of these characters having been officially detailed so far, not to mention two more Specialists whose abilities are still unknown. Specialists work a bit like hero characters in that they each have a couple of abilities that charge over time as well as some weapon attachments that are unique to them. You pick your Specialist between picking your class and starting a match, so they don’t affect Black Ops 4’s Pick Ten create-a-class system.
Sixteen years after Battlefield 1942 changed the landscape of competitive first-person shooters with its large-scale land/air/sea battles, the series returns to its original setting with Battlefield V. We fully expect to revisit some of the iconic World War II battles of that landmark title in due time, but rather than simply recreate a greatest hits of big moments from the war, launch content takes players to rarely discussed locations like Norway to recreate battles seldom seen in film or video games.

Call of Duty: WWII is the fourteenth game in the series and was developed by Sledgehammer Games. It was released worldwide on November 3, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is set in the European theatre, and is centered around a squad in the 1st Infantry Division, following their battles on the Western Front, and set mainly in the historical events of Operation Overlord.
Zombies, Treyarch’s Zombies return the original studio to do zombies back at world at war 10 years ago and they never stop being the best call of duty zombies developers. Some people might only be interested in the Zombies mode. We get the returning Aether Story and a brand new story and characters the biggest zombies launch with three maps. Four with the Black Ops Pass. It’s not for everyone solo players might have trouble with the learning curve of all the mechanics and solving the easter eggs. But if you have a buddy or two you can’t go wrong with Zombies. I had an absolute blast playing with my friends and solving the easter eggs. Treyarch has the best zombies hands down Black Ops 4 is no exception.

Mods have always been an important part of the PC community for Call of Duty games, so the news that Black Ops 4 would be launching on Blizzard’s Battle.Net platform caused a great deal of concern about the future of Black Ops 4 modding. Battle.Net is known for being a much less open platform than Steam, so many assumed modding would be off the table.
Overall, I'm really enjoying the MP experience and playing with friends is making it even more enjoyable. There's definitely fixes that need to happen to balance the game, but it's got me hooked for now. Far better than the status of the game a few months ago. I agree with people like JackFrags and Levelcap in that the game still has a while to go before it's in a good state, but I completely disagree with people spouting, "LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE," because the game boots, matches load, I can get kills, and I can progress through the game. People need to get their definitions of "literally" and "unplayable" checked.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sixth installment of the main series. It was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. Activision Blizzard announced Modern Warfare 2 on February 11, 2009. The game was released worldwide on November 10, 2009, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows. A Nintendo DS iteration of the game, titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized, was released alongside the game and the Wii port of Call of Duty : Modern Warfare. Modern Warfare 2 is the direct sequel to Call of Duty 4 and continues the same storyline, taking place five years after the first game and featuring several returning characters including Captain Price and "Soap" MacTavish.

Call of Duty: Black Ops features Vietnam War era music including "Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones (played during a gameplay sequence, the credits, and as an easter egg in the multiplayer map Nuketown) and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son". Eminem's "Won't Back Down" (featuring Pink) is used for the credits as well, and additionally appears as an Easter Egg in the Zombie map "Five". In the Call of the Dead zombie map the song "Not Ready to Die" by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold is featured as an easter egg. The original music was composed by Sean Murray, who also composed Call of Duty: World at War while Kevin Sherwood composed music for the Zombies mode. The soundtrack was released on November 9. The use of The Rolling Stones' music in the game has seen a significant increase in the band's music sales since launch. "Gimme Shelter" sold 2,000 copies in the week before the launch trailer was revealed, 5,000 the week after, and 11,000 the week after the game's release. "Sympathy for the Devil" experienced a similar boost as gamers discovered the band's music.
Black Ops retains the experience points and unlockable reward system that has been kept since Call of Duty 4. The game's multiplayer focuses on socialization and customization. "Create-a-Class 2.0" allows enhanced personalization with appearance items as well as upgradable perks; weapons are extensively customizable with writing, emblems, attachments and camouflage painting. Even reticles can be modified. There are more than one style for an attachment, which allows for a lot more personalized weaponry; for example, the player can choose between a red dot sight or a reflex sight, both of which share many of the same traits, although the red dot fills up less of the screen (something desired by many players). Character models depend on the first tier perk instead of the weapon's type. Furthermore, face paints can be unlocked. New custom killstreak rewards include explosive R/C cars, guided missiles and controllable attack helicopters.
On January 21, 1968, Mason's team is sent to Vietnam. After defending Khe Sanh, they recover a dossier on Dragovich from a Russian defector in Hue City during the Tet Offensive. The defector turns out to be none other than Reznov, who joins them as they penetrate Laos to recover a Nova 6 shipment from a downed Soviet plane. They are captured by Viet Cong and Spetznaz infiltrators at the crash site. Bowman is executed, but Woods and Mason hijack an Mi-24 Hind in the confusion and escape, moving on to rescue Reznov from Kravchenko's base. They confront Kravchenko and Woods stabs him, but Kravchenko pulls the pins off of four grenades strapped to himself, forcing Woods to sacrifice himself by pushing both himself and Kravchenko out of a window. In a huge explosion, Mason presumes the two dead.

Call of Duty 2 was also developed by Infinity Ward and was released in October 2005. Some Call of Duty spinoffs were developed for consoles, such as Call of Duty: Finest Hour by Spark Unlimited and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One by Gray Matter Interactive (now Treyarch). Call of Duty 3, the first sequel to appear on consoles only, was released in November 2006 and developed by Treyarch and Pi Studios. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, developed by Infinity Ward, was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 Macintosh and the PC. A Wii version was developed by Treyarch, called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex. A handheld version was also produced for the Nintendo DS. Another handheld game, Call of Duty: Roads to Victory was released March 14, 2007 for the PlayStation Portable, the N-Gage, and the Pocket PC. On December 3, 2007 it was announced that Call of Duty: World at War would be developed by Treyarch. It was released November 11, 2008 in the U.S. for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and the PC, and on November 14, 2008 in Europe. A sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released worldwide on November 10, 2009 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Much like Infinity Ward before them, Treyarch has left World War II battlefield and now heads into the Cold War era, which includes the Vietnam War, titled Call of Duty: Black Ops, which was released on November 9, 2010. A sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was released November 8, 2011. It was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and the Nintendo DS handheld. A sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, was released on November 13, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The Wii U version was released on November 18, 2012. A new entry in the series called Call of Duty: Ghosts was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 on November 5, 2013. Ghosts is the first Call of Duty game available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as launch titles for both consoles on November 15, 2013 and November 22, 2013 respectively. Another new entry in the series, made by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, was released on November 4, 2014 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with High Moon Studios developing PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ports of the game. Call of Duty: Black Ops III was released in November 2015, developed by Treyarch. It is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A new entry in the series, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, was released on November 4, 2016, along with a remastered version of Infinity Ward's previous installment into the franchise, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
Hudson and Weaver are revealed to be Mason's interrogators. Dragovich has communist sleeper cells placed all over the United States which, when ordered by the numbers broadcast, will release the Nova 6 gas. As a result, the U.S. is preparing a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the Soviet Union, which would result in the inevitable Mutual Assured Destruction of World War III. Hudson needed Steiner to abort the gas launch, but after his death, only Mason has any knowledge of the numbers station. Hudson reveals that Dragovich brainwashed Mason to understand the numbers broadcasts and assassinate Kennedy, effectively making him a Soviet sleeper agent. The real Reznov never escaped, but died during the Vorkuta breakout attempt, and the Soviet defector in Hue was actually killed before Mason reached him. Mason’s visions of Reznov are a result of a dissociative disorder caused by the traumatic brainwashing program. Prior to the Vorkuta uprising, Reznov reprogrammed Mason to assassinate Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner instead. Mason finally remembers the location of the broadcast station: a Russian cargo ship called Rusalka off the coast of Cuba. An assault on the Rusalka begins, with Mason and Hudson infiltrating the underwater submarine base protecting the ship. Hudson calls in the United States Navy to destroy the Rusalka. Mason and Hudson finally confront Dragovich in the lower levels of the facility, and Mason strangles and drowns him to death before escaping with Hudson. They regroup with Weaver, who declares victory.
Battlefield: Bad Company, released in 2008, followed "B" Company's escapades and their search for hidden gold. This new Battlefield game had a variety of vehicles for land, air and sea. It had a new destruction system that allowed the player to break and destroy environments, based on a new game engine named Frostbite, which replaced the Refractor engine used in earlier releases (with the exception of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, which used RenderWare).
The sixth mission occurs much later, on January 17, 1945, with Voronin now a full Sergeant, serving with the 150th Rifle Division of the 3rd Shock Army. The unit secures a makeshift German tank repair facility in Warsaw in the midst of the Vistula–Oder Offensive. The seventh mission takes place shortly after, with the unit moving to regroup with the 4th Guards Tank Army. Due to shortages in experienced soldiers, the eighth mission, on January 26, requires Voronin to command a T-34-85 tank for the 2nd Guards Tank Army. In a full scale offense, the Soviets capture a town near the Oder River. The ninth mission is also fought in the tank, with Voronin eliminating all surviving German units in the town.
Black Ops is a first-person shooter, retaining the same gameplay mechanics as previous Call of Duty titles. The player assumes the role of a foot soldier who can wield various firearms (only two of which can be carried at once), throw grenades and other explosives, and use other equipment as weapons. A player close enough to an enemy can kill with one knife blow. A character can take three stances: standing, crouching or prone. Each affects rate of movement, accuracy, and stealth. The player can drop to the prone stance from the standing stance while running (colloquially known as "dolphin diving"), and can momentarily sprint before having to stop. The screen glows red to indicate damage to a player's health, which regenerates over time. When the character is within the blast radius of a live grenade, an on-screen marker indicates where it is in relation to the player, helping the player to move away or to throw it back. Among the weapons new to the series in Black Ops are crossbows with bolts and explosive ammunition, Dragon's Breath rounds and ballistic knives.
Onslaught offers a colossal amount of new content and carnage, including: four unique multiplayer maps, an all-new dual purpose assault rifle and sniper rifle. This is the first installment in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative. Depending on tactical needs, players can choose arsenal options with the Maverick, a deadly new, dual-purpose Assault Rifle and Sniper Rifle.
