On January 21, 1968, Mason's team is sent to Vietnam. After defending Khe Sanh, they recover a dossier on Dragovich from a Russian defector in Hue City during the Tet Offensive. The defector turns out to be none other than Reznov, who joins them as they penetrate Laos to recover a Nova 6 shipment from a downed Soviet plane. They are captured by Viet Cong and Spetznaz infiltrators at the crash site. Bowman is executed, but Woods and Mason hijack an Mi-24 Hind in the confusion and escape, moving on to rescue Reznov from Kravchenko's base. They confront Kravchenko and Woods stabs him, but Kravchenko pulls the pins off of four grenades strapped to himself, forcing Woods to sacrifice himself by pushing both himself and Kravchenko out of a window. In a huge explosion, Mason presumes the two dead.
On April 17, 1961, Mason, Woods, and Bowman take part in Operation 40 to assassinate Fidel Castro in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Mason apparently succeeds and stays behind to protect the extraction plane from an oncoming blockade, before being captured by the real Castro, having shot a double. Handed over to Major General Nikita Dragovich to be held captive at Vorkuta Gulag, Mason befriends inmate and former Red Army soldier Viktor Reznov. Reznov recounts to Mason the identities of their enemies: Dragovich, his right-hand man Lev Kravchenko, and ex-Nazi scientist Friedrich Steiner, who defected to the Soviet Union. In October 29, 1945, Reznov and Dimitri Petrenko were sent to extract Steiner from a Nazi base in the Arctic. However, they were betrayed by Dragovich, who tested Steiner's nerve gas known as "Nova 6" on Petrenko, killing him. Reznov was spared the same fate when British Commandos, also interested in acquiring Nova 6, attacked the Soviets. Reznov destroyed the Nova 6 and escaped, only to be captured by the Soviets and sent to Vorkuta. The Soviets later recreated Nova 6 with the help of a British scientist, Daniel Clarke.

This game surprised me as I was not expecting the time in history that this pertains to.....the decade of the '60's, a very tumultuous decade at that. Mostly to do with the Cold War between USSR and USA......and even touching on the end of WWII.....a nice touch. So the pace of the game, in conjunction with the weapons of that time, I found to my liking. It didn't have the faster pace of recent COD's and the firepower wasn't nearly as overwhelming. One has a bit more time for thinking and contemplating different strategies. For me that was a definite plus. At any rate, a nice playing experience. I'm tempted to now try Black Ops II.
By the time of the third mission, on September 2, Evans has been transferred to the Special Air Service or SAS. He takes part in a mission to sabotage the Eder Dam, destroying the anti-aircraft guns protecting it. During Operation Chastise the previous May, the No. 617 Squadron RAF destroyed the dam using bouncing bombs, but the Germans had been able to restore it. Following extraction by Price and Sgt. Waters, the fourth mission begins with Evans fighting off pursuing German troops until Waters cuts them off by blowing up a bridge. The fifth mission sees the team arriving at a German airport to complete their escape. Evans uses an anti-air gun to cover Price and Waters from German planes as they procure a Fw.200, using it to fly to safety. In the sixth mission, Evans and Price pose as German naval officers to infiltrate the battleship Tirpitz, disable its defenses, and steal information the RAF needs to attack the ship. Price sacrifices himself to buy time for Evans, who escapes with Waters by boat.
You will also be glad to discover that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will feature grounded combat, without the wallrunning and thrust boosters of Black Ops 3. You will still be able to kneeslide and climb over high ledges to help you get around the map, but expect a much more restrained movement system with the exception of Specialists like Ruin who can occasionally use a grapple fun to cover large distances in a flash.

Maxis continues his work on other experiments, attempting to use his daughter's dog, Fluffy, as a test subject for his own teleportation device. However, the experiment fails, and Fluffy is transformed into an undead Hellhound. Richtofen takes the opportunity and traps Maxis and his daughter Samantha inside the teleporter with Fluffy, believing that they would die. Richtofen escapes with his three captured soldiers, and arrives at the Rising Sun research facility in Japan, where Element 115 was first discovered. After gathering a sample of 115 at the site, and recovering a weapon known as the Wunderwaffe DG-2, they return to the Der Riese factory in Germany. In an attempt to escape the zombie horde, the group accidentally overloads a teleporter with the DG-2, sending them forward in time. They arrive at an abandoned Nazi theater in the 1960s, where Richtofen discovers several recordings left behind by Dr. Maxis. Samantha, having survived and managing to control the zombies, continues raising the undead in order to hunt down Richtofen.

But then Call of Duty followed up with COD: WWII the following year, before moving back to the future with Black Ops 4 this year. Battlefield doing a WWII game now may feel like the natural follow-up to Battlefield 1, but since Call of Duty did it last year and they effectively were doing historical combat two years ago, it doesn’t really feel as fresh as it once did, and even trying to echo the vignette campaign structure of BF1 has produced apparently mixed results, judging by some of the early previews where outlets got their hands on the game. Polygon called its frenetic shooter segments in the midst of somber storylines a “piñata at a funeral.”
I bought this game when i found out it had Bots for offline multiplayer. I dont have GOLD membership, that means i cant play games online. So bots was my only option for multiplayer. This game has 2 modes available for bots TD & DM. The bots play well, very competitive AI. I can hop in to play anytime & have fun. Worth picking up because it will keep you entertained.
For instance, in one map the attacking team has to take an enemy outpost in the first stage; in the second, the attacking team needs to build a bridge across a shallow gorge; in the third they need to plant a bomb on an ammo depot and make sure it explodes; and finally they need to guide a tank to the finish line. Across all these stages, the enemy team is required to stop them. For the attackers to win they need to complete each stage. For the defenders to win they simply need to stop the attackers at any point. Each stage has a timer.

Under heavy fire, the paratroopers are scattered, leaving Martin in a mixed unit formed from various companies. The mission closes with Martin and his allies seizing a nearby town from German forces. In the second mission, Martin and his unit are sent to drive out the remaining Germans from Sainte-Mère-Église and disable several Flakpanzers (anti-aircraft tanks) as the events of June 6 begin (D-Day). A paratrooper is seen hanging from the town church. The third mission occurs later that morning, with U.S. forces fending off a German counterattack. The fourth mission has Martin, Pvt. Elder and Sgt. Moody driving from Sainte-Mère-Église to Sainte-Marie-du-Mont along highway N13 to deliver an important message, while fending off German assaults. The fifth mission, the Brécourt Manor Assault, occurs on the evening of June 6, with Martin's unit destroying German artillery positions attacking the landing force at Utah Beach. After the mission, Martin learns that his unit has been assigned to several secret missions. The first occurs in the sixth mission, with Martin participating in an attack on a secret German prison in the basement of a Bavarian manor to rescue two British officers, Captain Price and Major Ingram. He then learns from Price that Ingram had already been moved to a more secure POW camp for interrogation. Thus, the seventh mission has Martin, accompanied by Price, infiltrating the camp and rescuing Ingram in under ten minutes before the arrival of German reinforcements.

Treyarch released the "First Strike" Map Pack on February 1, 2011 for the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 received the map pack on March 3, 2011 and the PC version was released on March 25, 2011 through Steam.[82] The Map Pack includes additional maps that can be played in the Multiplayer. Archive footage of President Kennedy prior to his assassination on November 22, 1963 is shown, revealing Mason was among onlookers who watched Kennedy disembark from Air Force One at Love Field. His presence, and Dragovich's taunt before his death, suggest that Mason may have carried out his initial programming. A hidden message that can be accessed in the game's main menu reveals that Woods survived the confrontation with Kravchenko and is currently incarcerated in the Hanoi Hilton.
Mods have always been an important part of the PC community for Call of Duty games, so the news that Black Ops 4 would be launching on Blizzard’s Battle.Net platform caused a great deal of concern about the future of Black Ops 4 modding. Battle.Net is known for being a much less open platform than Steam, so many assumed modding would be off the table.
Sprinting While Crouched. I friggin' love this feature. You can now keep your head low and your noise making just above crouch walking and sprint. This is super cool. The animation team also did a good work (at least for Support) on the position of your gun to let you know what stance you're in. It helps you cover ground while keeping a low profile and, in some scenarios, this massively gives you an edge on sneaking around points. You can only sprint in forward movements (which makes sense) at which point crouching backwards makes you pretty slow (which can be a danger if you get spotted). Well done on this one, DICE!

Call of Duty 2 is a first-person shooter video game and the sequel to Call of Duty. It was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. The game is set during World War II and is experienced through the perspectives of soldiers in the Red Army, British Army, and United States Army. It was released on October 25, 2005 for Microsoft Windows, November 15, 2005 for the Xbox 360, and June 13, 2006, for Mac OS X. Other versions were made for mobile phones, Pocket PCs, and smartphones.
Blackout, like all battle royales, rewards patience above all else. You patiently loot. You wait for the circle to constrict. You camp and get the jump on other players. You do all you can to survive, because the only way to win is to be the last player/duo/quad standing. When you die you can exit back to the menu and join a new match, but even that is tedious compared to the normal pace of Call of Duty matches.
This is probably my favorite Call of Duty since Ghosts. I was never a huge fan of the futuristic flying jet packs and wall running of Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare. WWII was refreshing in that regard, however, I really started to get burned out on WWII due to the really small maps, horrible rewards system and hokey costumes that you know never existed in the 1940s. Black Ops 4 is really refreshing. It's very fast paced and fluid. Even though there are no jet packs and wall running, nothing ever gets in your way. Getting around obstacles while shooting at the same time makes the game play super smooth. I really like the weapons (so far) and the graphics are really good. The user interface is a little confusing. I think video game companies in general could all benefit from having an actual UI designer on staff. As for the new Blackout game mode, maybe it's because I have never played any of those last man standing games like Fortnite, but I just don't do very well. It's like unless you get a decent gun within 15 seconds of landing on the ground, you're screwed. Also, the graphics in Blackout are terrible in comparison to normal multiplayer. I get it though, for a map that size they had to make compromises. Overall, I give Black Ops 4 a 9 out of 10.

Treyarch is promising that special attention will be shown the Black Ops 4 PC version. For starters, Black Ops 4 PC will launch on Battle.net exclusively, which will include all of Battle.net’s social features and anti-cheat measures. Among the many features promised for the PC build are: scalability options, uncapped frame rate (but not for Blackout at launch), dedicated servers, and support for 4K, HDR, and ultra widescreen monitors.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the ninth main installment in the series, developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It was later released on November 12, 2012.
Battlefield 2142 was released in 2006, taking place during a global ice age in the 22nd century. While most of it is graphically similar to Battlefield 2, it introduced a variety of equip-able items to unlock and battles between two giant "Titan" airships. The Northern Strike expansion pack was later released, adding new maps, vehicles, and a new game mode. Its use of in-game advertising was controversial among players and not well received.[36]

War Mode was a real gem. I wrote at the time that it should become a staple in all future Call of Duty releases. And I like to imagine how much fun it would be had Treyarch included it in Black Ops 4. Imagine these multi-stage, objective-based Operations but playing out with Black Ops 4's various Specialists and their special abilities, plus the full gamut of modern arsenal. It'd be a match made in heaven, and certainly more fun and interesting than Blackout. Then again, I'd rather not have it replace Blackout entirely---after all, we don't have solo campaign in Black Ops 4. If anything, a Black Ops 4 War Mode should be included on top of everything else. What a great game that would have been.

Excellent game! Battlefield returns to it's foundation of intense, unique and creative game play. The single player game play is incredible, however it is too short, I'm assuming they'll be releasing more levels in updates. The multiplayer is fairly balanced and seems to be that a battle can change at a moments notice, as there doesn't seem to be one dominating vehicle/weapon over others. Def. recommend this game

This just seems like a particular “at risk” year for EA and Battlefield, given its steep competition. Granted that kind of happens every fall, but alternating Battlefield and Battlefront releases, this seems like it maybe should have been time for the latter just to stand out a little bit more, but that’s not how production schedules work. EA will always have FIFA and Madden and such to lean on, but I do think its shooter series are becoming less relevant as time goes on. Perhaps a game like Anthem will change that, but I don’t think Battlefield V will.
Some people do like the multiplayer formula (online), and I will admit I was one of them. But CoD is just nothing new. It's boring. I can't recommend anyone to pick up this game for the multiplayer aspect, but if you love zombies this game is more than worth it. Also, even though I dislike the multiplayer portions anyway, the online in Black Ops is better than Modern Warfare 3.
Suffice to say, Call of Duty: WWII feels like the better value to me. It came with fewer MP maps, but it had three War Mode Operations and a single-player campaign. And although the game had some rocky beginnings, it was vastly improved by the time Black Ops 4 released. It's almost a shame that a game as solid as WWII only had one real year of support. I would love to see more MP maps and Operations released into 2019.

Same CoD Same problems, This is fundamentally still a Call of Duty game and as a result we get the same problems that have plagued the series for years. Spawn points they are as inconsistent as ever. Drop Shotting back and still annoying as ever and balancing can never get right they either nerf something to hard or buff it and even a month post launch its not fixed and will probably never be fixed as it is just a part of the Call of Duty engine so unless they get rid of it which they won’t there not going away it a free criticism of the franchise.
