Find Makarov: Operation Kingfish is a fan-made prequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and was first shown at Call of Duty XP. The video was produced by We Can Pretend, with visual effects by The Junction, and was endorsed by Activision. The video tells the story of how Captain Price ended up in a Russian Gulag set before the events of Modern Warfare 2.
Suffice to say, Call of Duty: WWII feels like the better value to me. It came with fewer MP maps, but it had three War Mode Operations and a single-player campaign. And although the game had some rocky beginnings, it was vastly improved by the time Black Ops 4 released. It's almost a shame that a game as solid as WWII only had one real year of support. I would love to see more MP maps and Operations released into 2019.

Set in the 1960s during the Cold War, the game's campaign follows CIA operative Alex Mason as he attempts to recall certain memories in combat in order to locate a numbers station. This station is due to transmit broadcasts to sleeper agents who are bound to use chemical weapons across the United States. Mason and CIA operative Jason Hudson are the game's main playable characters, as well as Red Army soldier Viktor Reznov in only one mission. Locations featured in the game include Cuba, Russia, United States, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Laos, Vietnam, and the Arctic Circle. The multiplayer of Black Ops features multiple objective-based game modes that are playable on 14 different maps included with the game. Improvements to loadout options and killstreak rewards are made. A form of virtual currency, COD Points, allows players to purchase weapons and customization options for their in-game character, as well as attachments and customization options for their weapon.
Call of Duty: Roman Wars was a canceled third and first-person video game in the Call of Duty franchise. The game was set in ancient Rome, and allowed players to take control of famous historical figure Julius Caesar, along with "low grunts", and officers of the Tenth Legion. It was eventually canceled, as Activision had uncertainties about branding it as a Call of Duty title.[47]
Firstly, the maps. While it definately had some stinkers, Battlefield 1 had a fair number of great maps. Even at launch the maps never felt to repetitive. This only improved over the lifespan of the game as entire sets of maps, all themed after a front from ww1, were added. We even got a few maps themed after the Russian revolution which was a nice addition. Personally, over Somme was my favorite. Now let’s look at Battlefield V. Battlefield V launched with a comparable number of maps but their actual quality are debatable. I know this was the case for a few in BF1 but it is moreso an issue in BFV. I think it is safe to assume that a fair number of people in the Battlefield community dislike fjell 625, Narvik, and Hamada. That’s 3 out of the 8 maps that aren’t well suited to the gameplay that most people will be utilizing.
In January 2011, to a player complaining about the remaining connection problems for the game on PlayStation 3, an Activision customer service representative threatened that they could shut down the servers for the game for the PlayStation Network at any time.[133][134][135] After some days and following some game media heat,[136] Dan Amrich, Activision Social Media Manager, declared that even if they could kill the servers, they did not plan currently to do it.[137] The Daily Telegraph praised Black Ops as a superb experience of gameplay, "the meaty kick of the guns, the blistering pace of the action and the sterling soundtrack of explosions, gunshots and whistling bullets all serve to quicken the player's pulse and tighten their grip on the controller",[120] and mentioned, it is beyond the overwhelming, chaotic action in the game's major gun battles, offers among other things, a stealthy infiltration of a substation in the snow-capped steppes, in which the slow down in action is compensated for by nail-shredding tension and creepy atmosphere.[120]

As the focus of the game is on simulation of the actual battlefield, the gameplay differed from many single-player shooters of the time. The player moves in conjunction with allied soldiers rather than alone; allied soldiers will assist the player in defeating enemy soldiers and advancing; however, the player is given charge of completing certain objectives. The game places heavy emphasis on usage of cover, suppressive fire, and grenades. AI-controlled soldiers will take cover behind walls, barricades, and other obstacles when available.

For Black Ops, Treyarch focused only on this game unlike past practice. However, it had different teams, each working on separate game modes.[46] Treyarch used a motion capture technology similar to the one used in James Cameron's film Avatar, which allows accurate facial expressions, capturing the whole performance of the actor.[47] The studio also consulted special forces veterans from both belligerents of the Cold War: Major John Plaster (US Army-Ret.) who served in the MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War, and former Soviet special forces operative Sonny Puzikas.[48] The latter taught Treyarch how Spetsnaz soldiers would react in combat, such as rolling out of the line of fire. Spetsnaz AIs in the game have been modeled after him, from his tactics and his movements to his face.[49][50] Although having a historical background, the classified aspect of these Cold War black operations allowed the studio to create its own fictional story.[51] The game also allows players to turn down the blood and turn off the profanity.[52]
After reading the one star reviews I felt it nessessary to clear some things up and some intelligence to the discussion. First off anyone saying this game is a re-skin is very far off. This game feels completely revamped however still familiar to the series. It's a game in the battlefield series and will have similar gameplay because that's what the fans want. I can promise you though the graphics have been completely overhauled, the sniper class is smoother and the guns feel and operate very different than previous battlefield games because of the WW1 setting. This is certainly not a simple re-skin.
